The <strong>castle <\/strong>itself lies in ruins, however, the original building is believed to have been constructed in the 11th century at the time of King Henry the first. In the late 1300s, the castle was rebuilt by Sir William Bagot who entertained many distinguished guests, including Henry IV. Bagot\u2019s castle has remained derelict since the 16th Century, however, in recent years, has had a renewed interest.
