They would carve faces into turnips and potatoes, but it wasn\u2019t until Irish immigrants in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laundryheap.com\/blog\/new-york-city-fun-facts\/\">America <\/a>discovered pumpkins that they began pumpkin carving.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find pumpkins in supermarkets or you can pick your own from a pumpkin farm.
