Six or seven times a year, the regional sales director for a medical devices company flies into McCarran, checks into a hotel on the Strip, pins on his badge, and steps into five days of fluorescent lighting and relentless networking. \u201cPeople think Vegas trips are glamorous,\u201d he says. \u201cFor me, it\u2019s suit, badge, ballroom, repeat.\u201d By 8 a.m., he\u2019s already on his third coffee. By 6 p.m., he\u2019s shaking hands at a distributor dinner. And by 10 p.m., he\u2019s back in his room rehearsing tomorrow\u2019s pitch. And the desert heat doesn\u2019t help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
