However, unlike leather, Suede is a more soft and vulnerable fabric that needs extra care and maintenance, because as you can tell it&#8217;s trickier to clean!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Here are a few things to keep in mind when you want to clean anything suede:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Don&#8217;t<\/strong> spot clean suede with just a cloth and water.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Don&#8217;t\u00a0<\/strong>put liquids directly onto suede.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>ALWAYS<\/strong> follow the care label and instructions!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">How To Clean Suede Clothing<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Remove surface dirt:<\/span> For light dirt that is sitting on top of the surface of the shoes, brush off the dirt with a suede brush or a toothbrush. Always brush in the same direction as your suede.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">For water stains:<\/span> <span style=\"color: #808080;\">Remove fresh water stains immediately by blotting with a cloth or paper towel. If the stained area turns a different colour, try wetting the entire shoe with a damp cloth and let it dry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">For oil\/grease stains:\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Blot out excess liquid and<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u00a0add a reasonable amount of baking soda (cornflour or talcum powder works too!) to the stained area. Leave it to sit for a few hours, then brush it away. You can always repeat this step until the stain is almost gone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">For tougher stains: <span style=\"color: #808080;\">For more stubborn stains like coffee or ink, apply a m<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">ixture of water and white vinegar to a damp wash cloth and begin to dab\/ lightly wipe away the stain.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">If the stain on your suede is just way too tough and too tricky to get rid of, hand it over to a<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laundryheap.com\/en-gb\/dry-cleaning\">dry cleaner<\/a><span style=\"color: #808080;\">\u00a0and let them get the stain out for you!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><strong>Protecting your suede<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Here are some pointers to help maintain and protect your suede garments:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Use suede protecting products: <\/span>These help prevent your suede garments from getting dirty or stained. Best applied before wearing the garment and can be found anywhere online.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Don&#8217;t get it wet: <\/span>Ideally you shouldn&#8217;t wear suede in rainy conditions as it will ruin the fabric overtime.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Store it well: <\/span>Store your suede garments in a breathable and dry environment.
